Our Story

A family. A herd. And milk the way it was always meant to be.

Cedar Cove Farm is an Amish family dairy in Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania. We raise 100% A2A2 cows, feed them well, and ship real raw dairy straight to your door. We've been doing this our whole lives. We plan to keep doing it.

John Stoltzfus and his wife [name] started Cedar Cove Farm in [year] on [X] acres of land in Peach Botttom, Pennsylvania. [Farming runs in the family / John grew up on a dairy farm / This land has been in the family for X generations]. For as long as John can remember, he wanted to farm. [Why he wanted to farm — e.g. "He wanted to work with his hands and raise his family on land he knew." / "He believed there was no better way to live than tending animals and growing food."]

They started with [X] cows and [a simple vision / a small herd and a lot of early mornings]. Today the farm is home to a herd of [X] cows, [X] children who help with the daily work, and a family that still believes the best food comes from people who take it seriously.

John and [wife's name] have [X] children. [A sentence about the kids and farm life — e.g. "The older ones are already working alongside John in the barn." / "The kids grew up knowing every cow by name."] This is not a business that runs on a spreadsheet. It runs on early mornings, hard work, and the belief that doing things right matters.

Why A2A2?

A few years into farming, John started learning about A2A2 dairy. [What prompted this — e.g. "A customer asked about it." / "A family member had trouble digesting regular milk." / "He came across research that changed how he thought about the herd."] The more he learned, the more it made sense.

"All the cows in India are naturally A2A2. It's why dairy has been central to that food culture for thousands of years. Once we understood that, we knew what kind of farm we wanted to be."

So John made a decision that most dairies don't bother with: he rebuilt the herd from the ground up. Every cow at Cedar Cove carries the A2A2 protein genetics. Not most of them. All of them. It takes longer and costs more. But it means the milk is gentler on digestion, richer in flavor, and truer to what milk was before modern breeding changed it. For families who have struggled with conventional dairy for years, that difference is real.

Why we started shipping

For a long time, Cedar Cove dairy was available locally, picked up on the farm or delivered locally. Word spread through the community, and our milk became known in the greater Lancaster County area.

Then customers started asking: can you ship? They were in Ohio, Texas, New Jersey, California. They wanted A2A2 raw dairy they could trust and couldn't find it near home.

So John figured it out. Today Cedar Cove ships to all 48 contiguous states, packed cold in insulated sustainable packaging, delivered by UPS or FedEx on a weekly schedule. The milk that arrives at your door is the same milk that leaves our barn. Nothing added, nothing removed, nothing changed.
